Excellent telling of a difficult subject
Victoria Christopher Murray always delivers. This book is highly recommended. I give it 4.5 stars if it had added Quentins and the lovers point of view in the story as well it would be a 5 star cos I would love to know what makes a man do what he did by denying his true sexual self for years and causing such heartbreak? Sheridan's handling of the situation seems realistic a combination of sorrow, anger and denial but she comes through in the end. I agree with the others this book is crying out for a sequel.

Another Stunning Author
I just finished reading this book 60 seconds ago and I'm looking to purchase her other two books that I did not read. Ms. Murray is one of the BEST authors I've read from..I acutally think she made it to my number one Author spot. She keeps your attention throughout the book, I didnt want the book to end..but when it did, it had a very plesant ending.

A Great Read
I loved this book from the first page until the last, I was so wrapped up in each of the characters that I felt when they felt. My heart went out to Sheridan, she must do a sequel to this book to show us that Sheridan is okay and put a little twist between her new man and Quenton.I can't imagine being in a situation like that and I believed she handled it much better than the average women would have. Useful resource (though more useful eight years ago)
Though it's out of date and the appendix containing addresses and phone numbers of gay-friendly religious organizations around the country and gay/lesbian/bisexual youth associations is sure to be inaccurate at this point, the text itself remains relevant.The book is well-written and researched and has content very appopriate for a questioning teenager.The authors continue to stress self-acceptance and express a compassionate and understanding viewpoint of differing sexual orientations that numerous people are still loath to accept nearly a decade after the book was written. Extremely helpful in my journey out.
I found this book extremely helpful in my journey out.It is geared toward gay, lesbian, bisexual, or just plain curious teenagers.However, it would be helpful to anyone, no matter the age.The book is written in a simple style and very easy to read.There are lists of resources that aperson can utilize to help them on their journey out.The most important part of the novel was the chapter on coming out.This chapter gives the reader advice on how and when to come out.Another plus is that there are little blurbs from actual people interspersed in the book.This book is a must read for anyone who is gay, lesbian, or bisexual! ...
