She, Eve Locke certainly knows how to tell it the way it happens, her descriptions are as close to the actual deed as being there. You don't need any pictures, and I feel as though I'm being included in the lewd festivities. Hot collection with some strong narrators
I was most attracted to the stories in this collection that are narrated by working-class and/or butch women. These were a pleasant contrast to some of the more lyrical, femme-femme stories, whose sentimentality tended to leave me bored. The plain-talking narrators of _Bushfire_ -- including some women of color -- are by far the most memorable.

You Go Girlfriends!!
Elizabeth Dean has become one of my favorite authors. Her uproarious first novel, It's in Her Kiss, paired a contemporary theme with an intelligent storyline, and created a first-rate book.
Don't take this book seriously
If you are looking for a serious look at lesbian life in the 21st Century, don't buy this book. If you want a chance to laugh at sterotypes and enjoy a lighthearted book, buy it.

Lesbian mirror image
This book was a sad replica of Sex in the City. Don't get me wrong, it has it's funny parts, however even those I laugh at begrudgingly! From the woman writting the editorial every week about lesbians, to the way that they get together once a week, to the way they met each other, this book just takes Sex and the City and makes the women lesbian! Not Understanding
This book was my second lesbian book I've ever read.And I was taught new things that I never knew were possible with a woman's body and then again some I really didn't want to know.There were some sentences in some ofthe stories that were sensual more than erotic.I prefer sensual overexotic right now.I guess I didn't know erotic meant exotic.I felt alittle bit intimidated by most of the stories and was perplexed by many.Idon't think it's a good book for a newly out lesbian like myself as it hasmostly hardcore action happening.I wish I could sell it for it is toolate to return but I don't wish to read it again.One story I did findquite intriging but not worth buying the whole thing, which was Water Marksby Dawn Dougherty.

Avoid this book!
I HATED this book.The story was unrealistic is about women being kidnapped and sold as sex slaves.The lead female was also raped.I love erotica but forced sex (RAPE) is not a turn on to me.If rape, being sold into sexual slavery is a turn on, then this book is for you.I wouldn't even give this book one star. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting plot
I felt as though this lesbian novel had a good plot with fascinating characters. It kept me wondering what was going to happen next. As a lesbian and avid reader, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Childlike language; adult topic
I don't think the author meant me to laugh as much as I did while reading this book. The plot reads like a gothic bodice-ripper but written for people who like to read about women together. It's nowhere near the amount of character development as, say, Artemis Oakgrove manages. The author also wrote a guide that supplies "1,000 sassy synonyms" for "said" and employs all of them in this book -- reminding me very much of much of how writing in kids' books is over the top to keep their interest. But the subject is grown-up, featuring submissive/dominant relationships between women. The subject matter didn't bother me, but since the characters are so poorly developed, the dominant woman didn't seem, well, like a woman, but rather a woman dropped into a part written for a man. I felt like I had read this book before with the primary protagnist as a man. Therefore I hesitate to call this book "lesbian." It would need far more character development to convince me these women were into each other and not just power. ... Read more
